Description

Top-down approaches generally evaluate the effects of a particular set of policies (language, labour marked, citizenship) and do not consider how these policies may be interlinked with other policies, support structures and subjective experiences. A bottom-up perspective in contrast puts the individual experience in the center and how it influenced their trajectories. In this course you will conduct an interview and do a single case analysis in order to understand how individuals are acting within complex structures and what strategies they do adopt in reaction to exclusion.
